Favorite Part ("we," "our," or "the app") is designed to help families build a daily habit of meaningful conversation. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
All video recordings are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server. Your videos stay on your phone, period.
Favorite Part transcribes your recordings using Apple's Speech Recognition framework, which may process audio on Apple's servers depending on your device settings. We do not receive or store this audio.
With your permission, transcribed text may be sent to third-party AI services to enable optional app features (such as highlight reel curation). This is opt-in and clearly disclosed before any text leaves your device.
We do not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, location data, or any personally identifiable information. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your app data (including videos) may be included in your personal iCloud backup. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Favorite Part is designed for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
